Zhoukou Power Supply Company: Power Services “Non-Stop” During Critical Autumn Farming Season
Currently, the autumn plowing and sowing work in eastern Henan has entered a critical stage. Agricultural production such as winter wheat sowing is advancing in an orderly manner, and electricity demand has reached a peak. Since entering November, the power supply departments in Xihua and Shenqiu counties of Zhoukou City, Henan Province have accurately met the production needs of farmers, proactively deployed services to the frontline, and provided safe, reliable, and efficient power support for autumn farming through a series of measures including special equipment inspections, hidden danger investigations, and service optimization.
In the high-standard farmland of Honghua Town, Xihua County, several large-scale seeders are shuttling through the fields for operation, and irrigation water pumps are hummingpresenting a busy scene of autumn sowing. To ensure farmers have no worries about electricity use for drainage, irrigation, and sowing, Xihua County Power Supply Company made advance arrangements, formulated a special power guarantee plan based on the characteristics of regional autumn farming production, and organized operation and maintenance personnel to go deep into the fields. They carried out a comprehensive special inspection of the 10-kilovolt lines, distribution transformers, and “well-to-well connection” facilities involved in agricultural production within the jurisdiction, focusing on investigating potential safety hazards such as line aging, loose equipment, and unauthorized wire connections. Up to now, comprehensive inspections of 12 agricultural lines and 38 agricultural drainage transformers have been completed, ensuring the power grid is in optimal condition to cope with the peak electricity demand during autumn sowing and enabling farmers to use “safe and reliable electricity”.
In Zhangshan Village, Shenqiu County, the Baiji Central Power Supply Station relies on the “village-grid co-construction” convenience service point, gives full play to the advantages of grid management, and builds a “zero-distance” service system. Grassroots power supply staff have become “electricity grid managers”, taking the initiative to go deep into rural areas to connect with farmers and large-scale growers, gain a detailed understanding of their electricity needs for autumn farming, and establish a “one household, one file” service record. In response to needs such as electricity connection application and fault repair during autumn sowing, a special “green channel” has been opened to simplify business procedures, realizing rapid full-process response to agricultural electricity issues including “acceptance, survey, repair, and power supply”. The average fault handling time has been shortened to less than 40 minutes. At the same time, staff have set up service desks in the fields to explain on-site knowledge such as electricity avoidance skills for agricultural machinery operation and safety standards for temporary electricity use, building a solid safety defense line for autumn sowing production.
It is reported that as the autumn plowing and sowing work continues to advance, power supply companies in various parts of Zhoukou will continue to strengthen line inspections and electricity load monitoring, dynamically adjust power guarantee strategies, and provide strong power support for the smooth progress of autumn sowing production with more precise services and more reliable power supply.
