With the end of the summer vacation, the electrical equipment in primary and secondary schools has been left idle for a long time. Coupled with the impact of factors such as high temperatures and heavy rainfall in summer, the school’s electrical circuits and equipment have suffered aging and damage to varying degrees, posing numerous potential electrical safety hazards that are highly likely to cause electrical safety accidents. To ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply for schools, State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company, based on the characteristics of campus electricity use, organized personnel to successively visit Shangqiu No.1 Hui Nationality Primary School, Zhecheng Experimental Middle School, Zhecheng Experimental Primary School and other schools to conduct electrical safety inspections. Special patrols and inspections were carried out in key electricity-consuming areas such as student dormitories, canteens, and bicycle sheds. Meanwhile, a comprehensive inspection was conducted on lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, and residual current devices in key locations. For any problems identified during the inspection, the company promptly communicated with the school authorities and assisted in repairing and replacing the faulty parts.

Subsequently, staff from Shangqiu Power Supply Company conducted special inspections and temperature measurements on campus electrical lines, power distribution rooms, transformers and other equipment. They also updated and standardized some warning signs, ensuring that the inspections left “no dead ends or blind spots.” At the same time, the company’s staff inquired about the school’s electricity demand for the new semester, sought opinions and suggestions regarding electricity usage, guided the school in formulating electricity usage plans and various safety measures for electricity use, and advised the school on the response and handling of sudden power outages—providing solid guarantees for the safety of campus electricity use in autumn.
