Xuchang, Henan: Efficient Electricity Service Supports Low-Carbon Travel of Heavy-Duty Trucks
“Not only do you provide fast electricity connection services, but you also frequently visit us to check the operation and power consumption of our charging station. Your service is really thoughtful!” On August 25, Wu Chao, the person in charge of Henan Anyuechong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., said to Zhu Junwei and Shi Zengqiang from State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company, who were conducting an on-site visit.

In early June, Henan Anyuechong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. submitted an application for 2,500 kVA (kilovolt-ampere) charging pile electricity supply through the “Online State Grid” platform. Xuchang Power Supply Company strengthened professional collaboration, optimized work processes, and opened a “green channel” for the application. The key account manager contacted the user immediately, guiding them to “prepare all required materials at one time”—including business license, property right certificate, and filing certificate for the electricity connection application. Multiple departments jointly carried out on-site surveys, answered policy-related questions, guided the user in scientific application and rational layout of charging facilities, and formulated a power supply response plan from multiple perspectives such as safety and economy.

After a detailed on-site survey, the company decided to tap into the adjacent 10 kV Menghe Line and use an overhead line to connect to the red line area of the user’s charging piles, helping the customer reduce electricity costs. On July 6, the day of power connection, the staff carried out work in strict accordance with standardized operation procedures: they completed the installation of accessories, wire hanging, and power connection work while the line was live, successfully finishing the customer’s power transmission project. From the start of the application to the actual use of electricity, Xuchang Power Supply Company completed meter installation, acceptance inspection, and power transmission in the shortest possible time, shortening the traditional power transmission cycle by nearly 50% and enabling the heavy-duty truck charging pile project to “connect to electricity early and put into operation early”.
“In the past, we had to queue up for charging. Now, with two guns charging at the same time, we can get a range of over 200 kilometers in just over an hour—it’s convenient, fast, and time-saving!” After the charging station was put into operation, improving the charging experience of electric heavy-duty truck owners became a key priority. In line with the concept of “one station, one guarantee” and the “point-to-point” service mechanism, Xuchang Power Supply Company regularly arranges staff to inspect the health status of power facilities at the charging station and the operation of peripheral associated distribution lines. For potential hazards identified, they promptly provide feedback, help the customer formulate and implement rectification measures, and ensure safe and reliable power supply.
