State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company has effectively coped with the continuous growth of load

At 12:41 on August 20, the highest power load of Changzhou Power Grid hit a record high of 6 during the year, reaching 1236.4 KW.

At present, the overall operation of Changzhou’s power grid is stable, and the power supply is safe and orderly.

Since August, Changzhou has been dominated by sunny and hot weather, with high temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius in most areas, and some areas come to more than 37 degrees Celsius. The continuous high temperature has led to the gradual release of air conditioning load, and the economic development of Changzhou has shown a continuous and stable and positive trend, multiple reasons have jointly boosted the load to a new high.

Taking Liyang as an example, the cumulative electricity consumption of the whole society and the industry has grown steadily, and a number of large users such as Baorun steel and Gothinic have entered operation in Liyang and fully released the load. At 11:23 on August 21, the highest power load of the whole grid in Liyang, Changzhou, broke through the historical extreme for the sixth time this summer, reaching 2.1516 million KW, increase by 10.27% year-on-year.

To ensure the safe, stable and reliable power supply of the power grid in high temperature weather, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company accelerated the construction of key projects before the peak summer, and raced against time in key areas such as main network upgrades, distribution network optimization, rural grid transformation, and new energy grid connection to ensure that the project was put into operation as soon as possible and achieved early results. At the same time, strengthen the inspection and temperature measurement of power supply equipment, fully grasp the existing weak links and factors, so as to detect problems early, investigate hidden dangers early, and deal with defects early. In view of the rising electricity load in summer, State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company has strengthened and improved the emergency management system, implemented various pre-control measures, closely tracked weather changes, accurately predicted the trend of load changes, and scientifically arranged the optimal operation mode of the power grid to ensure the stable operation of Changzhou power grid under high load.

Facing of continuous high temperatures, it is expected that the electricity load of Changzhou’s entire network will continue to rise. State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company will continue to do a good job in all aspects of peak summer, pre-control and make plans in advance for possible abnormal situations, and increase the reserve repair force on the basis of implementing all daily power protection and emergency repair personnel on duty.
