State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company uses non-stop technology to ensure worry-free summer electricity usage

On July 15th, at the 10 kV Tax Line distribution network construction site in Changzhou, Jiangsu, staff from the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company wore heavy insulated protective clothing to carry out live-line work, ensuring “zero impact” on the electricity supply for users along the line.

With the arrival of high summer temperatures, to ensure reliable power supply in the Changzhou area during peak electricity usage, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company has comprehensively strengthened the management of live detection of equipment. During the high temperature and high load period of summer, the company organized special live detection work on all distribution equipment. Upon discovering issues, they promptly combined live working to rectify equipment defects in a “non-perceptible” manner. In addition, relevant departments of the company have intensified the management and rectification of overloaded equipment, shortened the inspection and live detection cycles, and focused on measuring the sag and crossing distance of lines under high temperature and high load conditions. At the same time, the distribution network renovation work is also closely following the timeline, progressing steadily and orderly.

Since the beginning of this year, State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company has focused on the pain points of uninterrupted power operations being restricted by terrain and insufficient technical levels. By continuously strengthening the high-quality uninterrupted power operation professional team and applying new technologies in uninterrupted power operations, the company has consistently enhanced the intensity of technical implementation. In the Liyang area alone, the company has completed a total of 1,171 uninterrupted power operations, including 78 complex operations, doubling the total number of operations compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the company has deepened the application scenarios of power generation operations, efficiently conducting 8 medium-voltage power generation operations and 459 low-voltage power generation operations in the Liyang area. Through a series of measures, the power supply reliability of State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company is steadily improving, providing a more solid guarantee for regional summer electricity consumption.（Fran）
