Zhejiang: Supporting the Green Development of the Pump and Valve Industry

Recently, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power staff visited the Pump and Valve Industrial Park in Longquan City to conduct interviews with eight high-voltage customers, including Zhejiang Hongye Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. They listened to feedback from enterprise clients regarding processes such as business expansion, power supply, and quality service, while also providing recommendations for optimizing electricity usage. 

“You can improve the power factor by reasonably switching capacitors, adjust some production lines to operate during off - peak hours, choose energy - efficient production equipment to enhance efficiency. You can also apply for basic electricity charge calculation according to the enterprise’s production load, etc., to reduce costs and increase efficiency.” explained the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power staff to Fan Xiaobo, General Manager of Zhejiang Hongye Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd., while reviewing the company’s electricity bill and load curve. “Thank you for clarifying so many electricity-related issues for us. Our company’s growth relies on high-quality power supply!” Fan Xiaobo said. 

To provide better power supply services, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power conducted targeted visits to high-voltage users in the Pump and Valve Industrial Park. Through face-to-face communication, they gained insights into corporate electricity needs, analyzed load characteristics, and offered “tailor-made” optimization suggestions. This approach enhances the precision and effectiveness of power supply services, resolves potential safety hazards, and addresses other electricity-related issues, continuously improving the power business environment. 

Additionally, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power account managers used these visits to promote new services such as photovoltaic and energy storage systems. By conducting energy efficiency diagnostics, recommending energy-saving equipment, and applying energy storage solutions, they aim to balance peak and off-peak demand, helping companies reduce electricity costs and transition toward green and low-carbon operations. 

Moving forward, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power will continue targeted visits to key industries, leveraging electricity bill analysis and diagnostics to share optimization experiences, promote energy-saving practices, and support the healthy and stable development of enterprises. (By Chu Jinjin)
