“Wet hands should not touch electrical appliances, remember to keep them dry and insulated”, “Do not pick up fallen wires, stay safe eight meters away”, “Never shake or pull the wires, climbing the transformer platform is even more dangerous…” These are scenes from June 12, when professionals from State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company visited the No. 7 Primary School in Dengzhou City to conduct an educational activity on electrical safety.

Guiding each county power supply company to print brochures on electrical safety based on the interests of primary and secondary school students, the company organizes employees to use easy-to-understand methods such as animations and safety songs to teach students about electrical safety, protection of power facilities, and energy conservation. This aims to guide primary and secondary school students to develop good habits of using electricity safely and protecting power facilities from a young age, achieving the positive effect of “educating one child, influencing one family, and impacting the whole society”.

At the same time, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company fully leverages its professional expertise to conduct a comprehensive and meticulous “health check” on the school’s electrical facilities, including distribution boxes, power switches, and lighting circuits. Using professional testing equipment, they thoroughly inspect the insulation performance of the circuits and the contact condition of the switches, promptly identifying and addressing potential hazards such as aging wires and poor switch contacts, thereby fortifying the school’s defenses for safe electricity use.
