State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company: Optimizing Services to Support the Development of Vegetable Seed Industry

On March 26, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company organized personnel to visit the Green Seed Industrial Park located in Chengliu Town, to gain a detailed understanding of the electricity usage in the vegetable seedling area, ensuring the inspection and maintenance management of power facilities, refining daily maintenance and safety protection measures, and providing a guarantee for safe and reliable power supply.

Jiyuan is the largest cruciferous vegetable seed production base in the world, with vegetable seeds such as cabbage, kale, and radish accounting for more than 40% of the domestic market share, and the vegetable seeds are exported to more than 20 countries and regions globally. Currently, vegetable seed production is at a critical stage involving the growth of seedlings in greenhouses, late-stage management, and field transplanting of seedlings. The company has refined measures and followed up with services to ensure reliable electricity supply for vegetable seed production without delaying the farming season.

In response to the current situation of frequent cold waves, large temperature fluctuations, and increased electricity demand for seedling growth and irrigation, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company organized personnel to visit the seed industrial park and various greenhouse seedling bases. They conducted on-site ‘check-ups’ of customer-side power facilities, focused on the operation of transformers, distribution boxes, power lines, etc., carefully inspected the operation status of temperature control, ventilation and water diversion facilities in the greenhouses, and guided customers to strengthen daily equipment management and risk prevention to improve power supply reliability.

Given the arrival of the Rain Water solar term, the field transplanting of vegetable seedlings has gradually begun, with frequent activities such as water diversion for seedling planting and watering to preserve soil moisture, the company, relying on 5 central power supply stations and 6 power supply service stations, established 189 power supply guarantee grids, inspecting power supply lines, distribution transformer areas, and supporting facilities for motor-pumped wells in the fields, promptly addressing potential hazards discovered to ensure stable operation of the power grid and reliable power supply. At the same time, the company promptly understands the electricity needs of the public, opens green channels for electricity services, simplifies procedures, optimizes processes, ensuring rapid handling of electricity services and efficient resolution of electricity-related matters. In the past half month, the company has investigated and addressed 65 cases of various electricity-related safety hazards, handled 102 electricity service requests, and resolved customer needs.
