State Grid Sanmenxia: Powering Spring Irrigation, Fueling Rural Revitalization
With the traditional solar term Jingzhe (Awakening of Insects) just around the corner, marking a critical period for spring planting and irrigation, State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company has proactively ramped up efforts to ensure a stable power supply for agricultural activities. Through specialized equipment inspections, expedited service channels, and other initiatives, the company is reinforcing its electrical infrastructure to guarantee safe and reliable power for irrigation across its service area, supporting rural revitalization efforts.
The company has deployed several Party member service teams to the fields, conducting comprehensive inspections of key agricultural power facilities, including over 870 well pump distribution systems and associated power lines throughout the city. By combining drone patrols with manual inspections, these teams can quickly identify and resolve potential equipment issues.
“Equipment is operating normally,” reported a State Grid employee in Tianchi Town, Mianchi County, using an infrared thermometer to perform a thorough check on a farm irrigation transformer. To prevent disruptions to farming, the company has established 24/7 power support stations in key irrigation areas, increasing patrols and maintenance, and stands ready to respond to farmers’ electricity needs at any time.
To improve service efficiency, local State Grid offices have launched a streamlined “one-document application” process for farmers needing irrigation power. Using the “State Grid Online” app, farmers can now apply for service without in-person visits. The company is also actively educating farmers on electrical safety, raising awareness and helping ensure a smooth spring planting season.
Moving forward, State Grid Sanmenxia will continue to prioritize reliable power for spring irrigation, providing essential support for spring farming and contributing to the ongoing revitalization of rural communities. (By Zhang Yinglin)
