State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company: Strengthening Equipment Inspections to Ensure Winter Power Supply

As winter sets in and electricity demand rises, ensuring the stable operation of the power grid and meeting residents’ electricity needs has become a top priority. On January 17th, State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company organized personnel to enhance comprehensive inspections of its substations.

This round of inspections focused on the operational status of equipment, temperature fluctuations, and the implementation of anti-freezing and cold-resistant measures. At a substation in Sui County, staff utilized advanced techniques such as infrared thermography to assess grid equipment performance comprehensively. Any detected faults or deficiencies were promptly addressed, and detailed equipment operational logs were established, enabling comparisons with historical data to evaluate operational trends. Moreover, necessary anti-freezing materials and supplies were sufficiently prepared in advance to mitigate potential risks and ensure preventive measures were in place.

Moving forward, State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company plans to strengthen communication and coordination with meteorological departments. Based on electricity load trends and weather fluctuations, it will dynamically adjust its inspection schedules and priorities, swiftly addressing potential hazards and thereby ensuring residents enjoy a warm and well-lit winter.
