Kuitun Power Company: Empowers Small Morel Mushrooms to Hold Big Promise for Prosperity
On December 22nd, State Grid Kuitun Power Company employees visited the morel mushroom greenhouse farm in Xiadongdi Village, Dongwan Town, Shawan City. They proactively inspected the electrical equipment within the greenhouses, including wiring, automated roller blinds, ventilation and irrigation controls, to provide top-notch, attentive power service for the morel mushroom growers.
Morel mushrooms, a prized delicacy, are known for their short cultivation cycle and high-profit margins. However, cultivating these fungi requires meticulous attention to detail, as they thrive only under specific soil, climate, and environmental conditions. Morels are particularly sensitive to temperature fluctuations, preferring neither extreme heat nor cold, requiring a consistent range of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius – a controlled environment best achieved within carefully managed greenhouses.
Ding Yijun, the head of the morel mushroom cultivation base, explained that he currently manages 16 greenhouses, each yielding approximately 80 kilograms of fresh morels. Once dried, the high-quality morels command a market price of roughly 1,000 yuan per kilogram. With the peak growing season underway, reliable electricity is crucial for powering the climate control systems that maintain the optimal low-temperature, high-humidity, and well-ventilated environment essential for morel cultivation. Any power interruption could result in substantial financial losses.
To guarantee uninterrupted power during the critical growing period, Kuitun Power Company has implemented proactive measures, including enhanced grid inspections and maintenance. They have also developed a customized “service calendar” aligned with the morel growth cycle, scheduling regular checks and maintenance of greenhouse wiring, switches, and other electrical equipment. This proactive approach minimizes safety hazards and promptly addresses any power-related issues.
Beyond ensuring reliable power, Kuitun Power Company is committed to boosting the growers’ productivity and income. They have streamlined operations, optimizing the business environment by simplifying electricity access. This involves reducing the cost, paperwork, and time required to access electricity services. Moreover, they have expanded service channels and options, simplifying connection procedures, shortening average installation times, lowering connection fees, and implementing customer-centric initiatives like the “Three Zeros, Three Saves” program (zero cost, zero approval, zero delays; saving time, effort, and money). These efforts have demonstrably strengthened the company’s ability to provide exceptional power services.
“It’s a huge relief,” shared Ding Yijun, expressing his gratitude for the power company’s diligent service. “They regularly inspect our equipment and wiring, educate us on electrical safety, and respond quickly and effectively to any issues we encounter. With this reliable power supply, we can focus on growing our business without worry.” His confidence in the future is palpable.
Moving forward, Kuitun Power Company will continue leveraging its expertise to support rural revitalization. Through initiatives like their “24/7 Proximity Service” and their “One Village, One Power Manager” program, they are committed to contributing to agricultural industrial restructuring and empowering growers to increase productivity and income.
