Affected by a new cold front, Zhoukou experienced a significant temperature drop on December 23, with electricity demand continuing to rise. The State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company has resolutely taken on the primary responsibility of ensuring power supply, proactively planned , and swiftly acted to formulate a winter peak power supply guarantee plan. The company has strengthened grid operation and maintenance, enhanced power supply services, and ensured that residents can stay warm throughout the winter.

Since the start of winter, Zhoukou Power Supply Company has developed a special inspection plan for power lines, taking into account the operational status of lines during previous winter peaks and recent weather forecasts. The plan specifies inspection frequencies for lines in different regions and voltage levels. Maintenance staff have been organized to focus on key components such as line disconnectors, circuit breaker switches, conductor joints, cable heads, and overloaded distribution transformers. They performed temperature measurements, thoroughly inspected equipment for anomalies, and analyzed equipment operations. They also conducted detailed inspections of critical equipment and priority checks of vulnerable equipment to ensure early detection of issues and prompt mitigation of potential hazards, guaranteeing the safe and stable operation of power equipment.

Additionally, the company has launched a “Warm Winter Campaign,” sending staff into the community to offer proactive and personalized services. They conducted safety checks on household electrical wiring and equipment, provided “zero-distance” care services, and comprehensively inspected the operational status of electricity meters. Staff recorded data on power load and voltage, thoroughly checked household wiring, sockets, and other electrical devices, tested the insulation of various home appliances, and guided residents on the proper use of heating equipment, including avoiding the simultaneous use of high-power appliances. These efforts aim to enhance user safety awareness.
