State Grid Tongbai County Power Supply Company: Committed to Robust Digital Integration Across Municipal and County Levels

On 18th November, State Grid Tongbai County Power Supply Company conducted a thorough inspection of its IT infrastructure, assessing the performance of air conditioning in data centers, fire safety equipment, UPS systems, servers, and network access to promptly identify and address any safety hazards.

With the rapid development of the power grid, the significance of digital expertise is increasingly crucial. To align with the city company’s three-year enhancement plan and the call for unified digital operations at both municipal and county levels, the Tongbai branch adheres to the principle of “centralised management with localised coordination” to optimise its digital management duties by clearly defining staffing and role allocation, standardising business processes, and focusing on key areas such as network security, project management, and data governance. These actions support the city company’s goal of establishing a “resource-efficient, highly operational, and well-supported” work model across all levels.

The company conducts regular risk assessments, and ensures that issues are rectified and reported in a timely manner. It undertakes comprehensive checks on endpoint security and manages vulnerabilities, ensuring that all of them are effectively closed. By enforcing strict system access protocols, the company ensures data security, system stability, and compliance. Routine network protection is prioritised, with staff actively participating in network security drills organised by the city company to ensure on-site safety. Additionally, employees are encouraged to engage in cybersecurity training offered by the city company to improve their professional skills, employing multiple measures to fortify the network security frameworks.

In accordance with the city’s data ownership and quality management requirements, the company has established a data stewardship system, clearly defining individual accountability for data management. Responsibilities are integrated into all business processes related to data creation, modification, deletion, and governance, thereby reinforcing data management accountability and driving improvements at the  source. Additionally, the company is focused on promoting the data owner system through training and experience-haring sessions, guiding data owners to maximise the functionalities of the system. Issues encountered in practice are reported promptly for resolution. The company’s disciplinary committee plays a supervisory role, ensuring that the integration efforts at the municipal and county levels are effectively implemented.
