Zhejiang: Building Bridges with Overseas Chinese to Continuously Optimize the Power Business Environment

In recent years, Zhejiang has actively implemented projects to encourage the return of overseas Chinese and promote rural revitalization. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has focused on the needs of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs by establishing the “Online Power Services for Overseas Chinese” platform, providing a streamlined process for those returning to start businesses.

To support the development of Zhejiang as a window for “Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Exchange,” State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has ensured reliable power supply for events such as the Overseas Chinese and Expert Expos. It has offered personalized power services to the event organizers, conducting power assurance work across designated areas. Advanced technology, including smart inspection robots and drones, has been used for special inspections of three substations and five transmission lines involved in the events. Additionally, power room inspections were carried out at seven sites, with safety hazard notifications issued for two sites, urging immediately rectification to the users. An emergency power assurance plan was also prepared, one power assurance vehicle was deployed, and 35 staff members were on standby to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

In the next phase, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power will continue to provide more convenient and efficient power support for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, contributing to the development of Zhejiang as a significant window for “Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Exchange." (Ding Yu jia)
