ChatGPT为何脱颖而出？OpenAI总裁这样回答_风闻

4月13日，OpenAI总裁Sam Altman在麻省理工举办的一场分享会上谈到ChatGPT成功的“秘诀”：

“We’ve been [building] the company for seven years. These things take a long, long time. I would say by and large in terms of why it worked when others haven’t: It’s just because we’ve beenon the grind sweating every detailfor a long time. And most people aren’t willing to do that. ”

七年磨砺无人问，一朝成名天下知。ChatGPT之所以能脱颖而出，“内因”可以归结于八个字：打磨细节，锲而不舍。

如果再加上一点“外因”，那就是：“多数人不愿为之（And most people aren’t willing to do that.）”。

中国人以“铁杵磨成针”喻“锲而不舍”之精神；英文“on the grind”喻“work hard and consistently”，也是从“grind（研磨）”一词引申开来。

不同语言文化下的隐喻思维常有相通之处，中英文都以“磨”喻“锲而不舍”，大概是因为无论磨铁还是磨豆，都很枯燥乏味吧！

英文“sweat every detail”也是隐喻表达，在“细节上挥洒汗水”就是“在细节上下苦功夫”，“sweat”比直说“work hard on”更形象。

锲而不舍，金石可镂，有此毅力已超过大多数人。Sam Altman的回答让文刀君想到荀子的一句名言：道虽迩，不行不至；事虽小，不为不成。
