疫情不可怕，乐观心态是最好的免疫力_风闻

解读中国工作室推荐的系列短视频节目《瑞恩的平安日志》，今日放送第七集：《隔离的背后》。

在本期视频中，瑞恩对新型冠状病毒肺炎进行了调查，通过数据对比，向大家介绍了近百年间，世界各地影响较大的几次传染病疫情，同时展示了武汉方舱医院患者真实的生活状态，强调疫情期间保持乐观心态的重要性。

其实，病毒对于我们而言并不新鲜，有人说，如果把所有的病毒列出来，人类发展史看上去，就是一部与传染病作斗争的历史。In truth, viruses are not new to us. If you were to list every virus we’ve faced, the history of human development would look like history of fighting infectious diseases.

1918年西班牙大流感是人类历史上最致命的传染病之一，曾造成全球约十亿人感染，导致五千万至一亿人死亡，死亡率达到2.5%～5%。2019年美国爆发的大流感，也造成近三千万人感染，上万人死亡。除此之外，还有我们熟知的天花病毒、SARS病毒、埃博拉病毒等。One of the biggest flu pandemics was the 1918 flu, also known as Spanish Flu. It killed 50 to 100 million people. Just this year in the US, the seasonal flu is estimated to have already infected over 30 million with tens of thousands of deaths. Besides these, there’s also Smallpox, SARS, Ebola, and so on.

 其中，2003年的严重急性呼吸综合征，也就是人们俗称的SARS，在中国境内感染5000多人次，在全球范围内造成919人死亡，其死亡率达到近11%。

在制作本期视频时，中国累计确诊人数和西班牙流感相比，好像“微不足道”，不少人对于封城的举措存在疑问。对此，瑞恩通过分析R0指标，展示了其中的原因。

我们看另外一组数据R0，R0是基本繁殖数，指一名患者平均可以传染的人数。可以用来反映传染爆发和严重程度。1918年西班牙大流感R0是2-3，埃博拉病毒R0是2。SARS的R0是2-4，美国流感的R0是1.3。你来猜猜新冠肺炎的R0是多少？是3.77！这意味着没有任何干预的话，不到21天的时间全球人都会被感染。

We can check out the R0 of these viruses. R0 is the basic reproduction number. And simple put, it’s how many people one contagious individual can infect. It can be used to show us just how bad a virus outbreak might get. The Spanish Flu had an R0 of 2-3, while Ebola virus’ was about 2. And the R0 of SARS was 2-4, while the U.S. flu had an R0 of 1.3. Do you want to guess the R0 of this newest Coronavirus strain? 3.77! This means that without any intervention, it would take less than 21 days to completely infect the world.

面对高传染率的新冠肺炎，我们应当害怕吗？瑞恩给出了自己的答案。

在武汉方舱医院中，许多新冠肺炎患者进行集中治疗和隔离。透过网络视频镜头，瑞恩向观众展示了方舱医院中患者和医护人员的真实生活。不同于想象中的紧张氛围，患者在这里一起打太极，学跳广场舞，甚至开了一次“全副武装”的生日派对。

我想，尽管封城隔离使武汉人民和中国的经济付出了巨大的代价，但只要最终疫情得到控制，我认为就是值得的。如果方舱医院里的病人都能这么乐观积极，我们为什么不能呢？

Certainly, this quarantine is going to take a huge toll on the people of Wuhan and the country’s economy, but it will all be worth it in the end if we can get this virus under control. If the patients in these isolation wards, can be so optimistic and positive, why can’t we?
